Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. Sorry that I have been MIA, but I have just been busy living life without extra time to document it all. We had a very nice and simple Thanksgiving this year. We had a mellow day at home most of the day, went to the studio to take some pictures of the kids (more to come), and then had dinner with good friends. I live a very blessed life.

The day before Thanksgiving, a couple of friends and I took our kiddos to deliver bouquets of flowers to residents at a nursing home. I had talked to Trader Joes before hand to see the possibility of them donating expired flowers. When the kids and I went to pick up the flowers, I was thinking that they may donate maybe up to 5 bouquets. We were shocked when the worker rolled out two full carts of flowers. I seriously wanted to cry I was so touched. We loaded up the van and went home to try to put some flowers in vases. Usually being unorganized is a bad thing, but the fact that I forgot to take my glass recycling out last month, was a good thing :). I ended up washing tons of old spaghetti sauce and applesauce jars to put flowers in. ¬†We ran over to the nursing home where we met up with friends and spent the next hour passing out flowers and chatting with residents. The kids were in heaven taking turns handing out all of the beautiful flowers. There were enough flowers for the residents and even to leave some at the nurse’s station as well. This was a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanks for your help Wendy , Sara, and our kids.

The pictures of your kids are adorable, as usual!
It was great to join you in delivering flowers…it was a good reminder of all reasons we should be thankful.
