Sickos and one tall baby

Here are a few pics that Chris took awhile back before church. I just took Miriam to her well child appointment, and she is 33 1/2 inches tall!! The Dr. said that she would still be above average ¬†height even if she was 2 years old, and no, she is 14 months old. I love my little tall baby. And on a totally random note, most of you already know that I dress my kids in garage sale clothes, but if I do ever splurge and buy new clothes, Naartje has the cutest girl clothes ever. Isn’t ¬†that little dress adorable? Tons of funky print dresses with funky soft leggings. Adorable/comfortable/innocent little girl attire.

We have all been really sick this last week. Chris and I have had the flu. Sofia got most of her sickness over a couple of weeks ago, but she still has a little cold. Gabe had serious fever, watery eyes, and an ear infection. Miriam has had congestion, an ear infection, and 3 molars coming in at the same time. We are all a little stir crazy, and it has been hard taking care of sick kids when we haven’t been feeling well ourselves. It’s times like these when I wish that we lived in the same town as family.

Those are the times I wish we had family around, too! Hopefully you’re all past the sickness….that really is so hard, especially with young kids. And as a random sidenote – Miriam looks like you! Oh, and I’m going to be in KF July 29-Aug. 3 (roughly)…any chance you’ll be there, too? If not, I might have to stop by for a visit on the way down.

Glad you’re all feeling somewhat better. Miriam is super tall! K is just half an inch taller at 16 months and it’s so hard to find clothes that fit him in length without falling off his 25th percentile skinny butt. I’m looking forward to short sleeves and pants where length doesn’t matter as much! Are you having trouble finding a good fit for M? She’s beautiful!

P.s. Molars stink. K is working on the second set now and it’s no fun for any of us.

Sarabeth, I think that both girls as they get older look more like me, but Gabe…. he likes 90% Becerra. No mistakin that boys daddy :). I should try to go to Klamath at the same time. I don’t think that we have any plans during those dates! Sarabeth, I need to call you to see how YOU are and hear your pregnancy updates!!
Kelly,
Unlike K, Miriam is in the 85th percentile in weight. Add cloth diapers to that, and she has a pretty puffy bum that is capable of holding most pants up. I think it is a lot easier with girls in general, though, because she pretty much wears leggings most days. The GAP makes really cute cotton little boy play pants (think sweat pants but much cuter), and those have always stayed on Gabe. You might want to give those a try, and they are comfy so you are likely to get no complaints :). Molars are just as un-fun the 3rd time around as they were the 1st :(.
