Banana Boats

A few months ago, a new camping family tradition was started thanks to my friend Cherie. Have you all heard of banana boats. If not, prepare to have your world rocked friends. Here is the gist of how you make a banana boat:

  • Peel only a thin part of a banana, leaving the peel attached.
  • Take a knife and make your banana look like a boat, leaving room on board for awesomeness.
  • Fill inside of banana with whatever your want. We did marshmallows and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. It would also be awesome with dark chocolate and coconut. The sky is the limit my friends.
  • Put the peel back on the banana and wrap the whole thing with aluminum foil.
  • Place the banana on hot coals near your fire. I probably left mine on for a total of 6 mnutes’ish, flipping the banana a couple of times.
  • Take banana out, unwrap, and enjoy the gooey awesomeness you have created.

What do mine eyes behold.

Gooey awesomeness.

Mama Mia, Come delizioso!
