Digging for Worms and Idaho

Miriam checking to see how long the worm is that she found in the garden. The cutest little dirty girl ever.More pictures from Miriam playing on Easter after church.

The title of my post is misleading. Digging for worms and Idaho really have nothing to do with each other, although I am sure that kids dig for worms in Idaho too. I just wanted to quickly record our trip to Idaho. I drove Miriam and Sofia by myself to Blackfoot Idaho 13 hours away. You are probably are wondering if I am crazy, and the answer is, Absolutely I am. The driving was really hard during parts, but all in all, the girls were pretty good for having to sit in a car so long. We broke the trip up each way staying with one of my very best friends from college, Lyndi in Nampa. It was so great seeing her and her adorable family. Lyndi was such a huge part of my college memories. I love her lots.

When we arrived to Idaho, Niki and family were happy to great us. I feel like I may have lame-ified their spring break a little. I was so tired of driving, so we really had a low-key visit. We lucked out with nice weather and spent time at parks and swimming. Sofia got to play with Anna and Jillian, who are two weeks younger than her and Kymber who is almost 10. Miriam just made everyone laugh a lot. Although I have to say that I wasn’t laughing very hard at 10:00 trying to get her to sleep.

So to my dear sister Niki, I hope you know how much I love you. It was not an easy trip traveling alone, but you were well worth the visit my dear. Good times are always had when Niki is around. She is a breath of fresh air. I have so many great memories of hanging out with my older sister Niki. My first term of college, she lived in the same apartment complex as me, so I would go to her apartment at night to hang out, especially when I was feeling homesick. Niki and I did a lot of road trips together back in the day as well.

I feel extremely lame that I don’t actually have pictures from the trip, but I was kind of barely keeping things together, so pictures were not my top priority. We can’t wait to see you this summer Niki and fam, and Lyndi… we would love to have you guys visit us here any time!!
